    Hi again.

There are 4 pages of D101 Ram mounts.

Can you possibly specify the exact model number of the D101 you refer to?

    Thank you

    Hi Pig.

Excuse my ignorance, but I am perplexed by this arrangement...

This is my understanding - you purchased a complete Ram-Mount (111-D) assy, but then retrofitted the RAM-201-D arm, RAM-202 bottom and RAM-107B top at a later date...?

    Is this correct?

Is there a single Ram-Mount that will achieve the exact same reach and mounting as like yours without having to retrofit anything?

Alternatively, can you custom make your mount with the supplier by requesting different parts to be assembled as one before it is sent to you??

Re: Ideal Sounder for Tiller Setup

When i got mine it was a ram-111-D but they seem to have changed the numbering system. Now the 111-D has the top mount for the larger humminbird units witch didn't exist back then
The RAM-201-D arm, RAM-202 bottom and RAM-107B top. Was the old 111-D
If you just order the RAM-201-D arm, RAM-202 bottom and RAM-107B top it will be the same as i have but it all depends on what sounder you have as they make different tops for different sounders

Re: Ideal Sounder for Tiller Setup

So, the 111-D is a single assy consisting of RAM-201-D arm, RAM-202 bottom and RAM-107B top?

Do individual parts need to be assembled into one single assy before it gets sent or can individual parts be ordered separately and be easily assembled at home by the purchaser?

The current 111-D is a single assy consisting of RAM-201-D arm, RAM-202 bottom and RAM-111B top
    Just order the individual parts

Here is my set up on a Ram swing arm mount. I gave up on the Ram ball mounts as the plasticy rubber on the ball separates from the ball after a bit and wont hold the mount where you set it. This was with a 7" Lowrance combo a while back. When I upgraded from that to the much heavier Garmin I did away with the ball thing all together and went swing arm. The swing arm is much much better in the rough and wont budge or vibrate as much.

    Magic setup Linedropper!

Tell me where you obtained this swingarm? (model name and number as well)

How did you house your batteries?

Pretty sure it is this one mate but there are variations http://www.ram-mount.com/CatalogResu...6/Default.aspx

I got it through a boating shop in Perth when I lived there. Gave them the part number and they ordered for me. Just pick a big Lowrance dealer and they should be able to get it for you.

The batteries are Full River batteries just housed in ally cradles welded to the side pocket with a bit of carpet under the battery to isolate the steel from the ally. Nothing holding them down no probs even in the rough. Had one battery which was an Odyssey for years then it started getting a bit dodgy with my power use so replaced it and added a second battery with a switch.

    Fantastic stuff.

    I'll be onto this ASAP.

Any others had bad experiences with the balls on the RAM Mounts?

Yep I have but mostly when the boat is on the trailer the sounder is usually not in the position where I left it
Just looking at Linedropper's setup I might go that way as well, by the way nice work there Linedropper, Very neat
