Search tells me that a few people have got Hydrive Sportkit steering and were happy with it but I was wondering if that was still the case a few years later or if others had since fitted it? I’m looking at the sportkit with the 401 helm and the 212t balanced cylinder. Is Whitworths still the cheapest place to purchase? I can’t seem to beat it with the prices I can find.

Had that kit on my last boat for 5 or 6 years and the only drama i had was a seal that was damaged by the dealer when they fitted a new outboard, other than that it was faultless. fitted it myself too.
Got my kit from BIAS when they were having a 15% off everything sale.

Picked my sportkit up from Whitworths on sale 18mths ago. Not sure if it's the exact same as the units you mentioned but it's working fine on a 150hp motor.
