    Racing the Easter Bunny

So the missus said I had to be home in time to see the kids find their easter eggs so I was up at 3:30 and on the water at 4am. My cousin was in town and he came along borrowing a yak and a rod. Decided to take him to the beacons as he hadn't fished from a yak before and I wanted familiar surrounds if he went R's up.

Got a small flatty that went about 35cms pretty soon after arriving then my cousin hooked up on a 45cm flatty. Things went quite after that till the sun came up so we decided to venture a little further afield. We headed south from the beacons on the right as there are a lot of weed beds and some gutters. I didn't get a touch but cuzz hooked up on 3 good fish. 1 he had at the yak and I was trying to get to him with net and rag to help but he dropped him (Lost my lipgrips yesterday .) He reckoned it was a 60 odd cm flatty.

Any way, was off the water and heading home at around 7:15 and I arrived home just as the missus was getting up with the kids.

    Perfect timing

Good timing Funchy. Hope you had a good day. Your cuz should have been pretty happy with how his day started.
