north side of double island point mate wont need marks probably wont get your boat in and out of the lagoon quite shallow at the moment but always protected on one side of the head land or the other

Who's been up there lately? Has she closed up? Or are boats still getting thru?

Was up a bit over a month ago and some boys were taking a 5.5m platey in and out, though they had to get out and push a couple of times, but it was around low water, so possibly if you time it around high tides could be easily doable.

As others have said there are no marks for what your asking for.

If you're looking for some protection in a S or SE wind then just head into Double Island Point and sit right in the corner of the bay.

If your after an awesome sleep in dead calm conditions then the DI lagoon is the place to be. I was in the lagoon a few weeks back but I would only advise it on high tide or an hour or so each side of high if you have a big boat. It's pretty shallow but the tricky part is navigating your way in to it. I have pics from up high that I took a couple months ago that gives you an idea how to get in and out. I will find them and post them this week if I can.

We have had some wild weather of late so things may or may not have changed.

    Cheers

Heres a couple from up top of the sand dune. It was dead high tide and a good sized one as well. It still gives a good idea where to go though. The tricky part is coming into it and I wouldn't attempt to do so if there was any decent east to ne swell rolling into the bay area.
