trying desparately to talk the wife in to buying the Stejcraft 6.8 WA, it is the best buy.
A lot of the "tinnies" just had a price rise. was lookin at a 5.5 stessco cc was 26 2 days later 28.
Bloke at boat shop told me all the manufacturers were bumping up their prices to meet production costs.
Bit strange when you hear aussie manurfacturing is having such a hard time recently, kinda counter productive i think but i guess everythin costs more nowadays.....
A multitude of reasons why there can be a price diff on same item
Retailer or in this case dealer buys at different times.
Perhaps one dealer is cashed up enough to take advantage of an early settlement offered by the manufacturer.
maybe one dealer is in the throws of winding up or scaling back stock on hand inventory to free up cash flow.
These are just some.

It’s got me buggered why boat manufacturers aren’t more competitive In this country? I understand Australia is an expensive place to do business but if these companies don’t do something soon they to will suffer the same fate as other failed businesses. Its just so dam cheap to buy a top quality boat from the USA and have it landed for a fraction of the cost of buying the same or comparable boat here. Why anyone would spend close to 100K here when you could buy so much more from the USA for sub 50K landed.
Tell ya what else is frustrating when the dealers advertise on a website for say 35k driveaway but when you get in there to have a sus its more like 45 due to options and such!!! advertise the actual price for the boat that is stocked!! not the base model with nothing on it!!! GRRRR
Misleading advertising is fast becoming more prevelant these days. Its not just the boating industry but right across the board.
Advertising gets you through the door.. regardless of whether it is absolute BS or not.. once you are in the door it is the sales person's job to sell you something before you walk out of that door..
My issue is that if they treat you like an idiot you get pissed off and the poor sales person who is just trying to earn a living has to try to pull you back from thinking that they are a pack of pricks to get you to hand your wallet over... not me I just keep walking!!
Thank god for the internet - as I look at my shiny new bait board with rod holders, delivered today for "much" cheaper than I could find instore (but I did give the stores the chance first before buying off the net)
