Johnson 60hp re-wire

hi all,

After my eventful yamba trip,i got the shits and ripped the motor to pieces,since it still has 140 psi in both pots and reading about the johno 80s models being bulletproof,i am rebuilding all bolt ons,wiring,pumps,starters,etc etc,everything but the motor,What size wire to i need to rewire old worn wires,eg,power pack,coils,earths,starters,solenoids.

What amp wire should it be,and what are the best reconnection methods,solder,male-female connectors etc ??????

BTW,Bernice from Downes marine in Bowen hills is a legend,nothing she cant find or stock for the old Johnos/evinrude.

3mm marine tinned cable and heat shrink crimp terminals is what i recommend.
