    wire breaking strain for Mackerel

gday, i have done a search and surprisingly couldnt find much info about it, maybe the info is hidden a bit. Just wondering what lb breaking strain wire for spanish mackerel and wahoo do other people use. I think too thick and the fish get put off, so i use single strand 70lb with hay wire twist. Is this adequete?

I have found the thinner the wire the better the bait swims,I have caught Spanos up to 35kg on 40lb.Just make sure you make the hay wire twist correctly or you will be losing fish.
