Waterbaby, depending on which end of Misson you will be living in there are a number of spots. Best bet would be to get a green zone map ASAP.
South mission, past the boat ramp which points straight into the ocean there is a walk along the rainforest that borders the beach, many accessible spots from here, obviously the rock headlands are best. Have caught barra to reefies from these spots.
North end of Mission try around clump point marina (dusk is better around here).
There are plenty of spots land based, just be mindful of the snapping handbags, especially around the rivers.
Search for the fishing forum based out of Townsville there is a bit of info on there for you as well.
