A group of us are camping there mid March for a few days to chase winter whiting and sandies. We did well last year and enjoyed the trip. We remember the current could catch you out as you neared the ramp if you weren't a bit weary. Anyone camped there or fished the area of late?

there is a new ramp npw which will protect you from the current when launching but yes during a big tide the current will scream through there as there is a main channel there.

The new ramp is a nice upgrade but care always needs to be taken when using this ramp. I was there October last year with a few mates and three boats. We didnt stay at the camp grounds though, but I have used these camp grounds many times over the years and it is always a pleasure. My folks did 4 weeks in the park in there caravan not long after I got back and as usual they loved it.
