Went for a look at the passage near the military jetty late Sunday arv and was greeted to a very fresh system. Had a look out the front of King's and noticed the dirty water line was still a fair way out. Had just been to Noosa and Currimundi, and both were fresh free, so I'm just wondering if I'm right in assuming that the passage takes longer to clear, maybe due to all the feeder creeks (Bells, Coochin, Ningi etc)? Found it odd that it was still so fresh. I also wonder if the southern end of Bribie is similar. Thanks.
Lot of low lying land on both sides off the passage that can take a long time to drain. However this morning The incoming tide is back to green in the pacific harbour canal. Also caught a few bream off the pontoon yesterday, which is a good sign.
But with forecast storms and rain for the next few days, it should be back to looking like coca cola by Thursday.
