Turbo Timer - Are They Necessary

My turbo timer is my EGT gage when it gets down to 200c it shuts down the motor. Around town it shuts down straight away but if it's been working hard over 650c it can take over 5 minutes

Ive always wanted to do that... Where did you get that from? Who makes it. Thats the perfect turbo timer right there. And I can beleive 5 minutes.
