Shot out to sand hills today about 10 ish to a beutiful day. Hoping to find the spotties up there and the hope of bagging a few. Got up there to see birds working on the beacon wast of days gutter but in green zone so i hoped they might be on up north more. Found bait and a few birds eating the bits left but no feeding frenzy,s. Drifted for a bit with a pilly on a floater out back and a plastic casted out front but nothing. Trolled for a bit and no hits. After hours in the heat i thought better head back to harries and north of there as i have seen them there over the last few months. Got back to 13 or more notts and bay got a bit lumpy so anchored up with same pilly out back and plastic casting but wind against tide was making it impossible. The birds had gotten just north for a while and had been bitten off 40 pound leader so that was it only chance and gone. The birds headed up north and it was blowing harder so off home with an empty esky and feul tank but theres always next time. Before the wind picked up the bay was amazing so heres the pick of the sand hills
