    It was bound to happen!!!

Well, 3:30am start, no wind, low tide around 5am, water quality seemed to have improved greatly from last week. It seemed other than the full moon there should be no reason a few fish couldn't be enticed.......

Well, no fish! not even an under size.... NOT EVEN A BITE!!!!

Oh well, I had a pretty good run didn't I?

Going out wide in the morning, hope to do a hell of a lot better.

How you going Funchy, I'm in the same boat as you no much around. I suppose on the positive side, it's always good to get out. Hope you bag out in the morning.
Good things come to those who bait

Re: It was bound to happen!!!

Managed just one flathead @ 41cm this morning just north of the powerboat club on a 4in Powerbait (pumpkinseed with sparkles) - only lure I seem to be able to catch flathead on.

Had a crack at the mouth early (5am - 7am) in the hope of a trevally or something but to no avail. Moved up to north of the powerboat club and after an hour of trying some top water hard bodies with a few follows (whiting) and lost a few plastics to something that was chasing bait (choppers?). Finally enticed a flatty at about 8:50am - went 41cm and if it wasn't for him swallowing the plastic a long long way down I probably would've let him go.

I liked your post Funchy, because you put it out there that you didn't do any good.

    Nice and honest.

I was in the passage on Monday morning fishing the top of the tide and not one fish from any of my favourite spots. Spent about 5 hours flckin plastics and hard bodys for a few hits and no hookups. I think all the rain has upset them in a big way.

No luck for me either Funchy and I was a the spot at 4:30am. I only got a few good photos and one hard hit with a zzzzzzzzzzzz and it spat my plastic I figured it for a trevally.

Well maybe its not so bad. Seems most of us struggled today.

I have been studying MuddyT. Seems the more i study the more there is to learn. Still, it should be fun and thanks for the pearls of wisdom mate.
