Bill Proctor
Our club was due to receive its bass fingerlings from Bill Proctor this weekend but unfortunately we got the news that he has passed away. Many people that are involved with bass stocking will know Bill and Bernas as they have been a reliable source of large quantities of bass fingerlings for many years now and they have both always been a pleasure to deal with. Bill has contributed a lot to freshwater fishing in south east qld and will no doubt be missed. I wish his family all the best.

Re: Bill Proctor
Yep, Fresh water fishing owes a lot to Bill, going to be a big hole with him gone, not only was he a very generous man, he was a champion and a hero as well. Twice surf life saving ski champion and recipient of the national medal.
Kurt is heading down to assist and clear out the remaining orders Bill had, give him a ring to sort out your order.

Re: Bill Proctor
Oh my god, one of lifes true gentlemen and scholars has passed on, and we are all the poorer for it. In recent years he has been one of the stand out people that I have met. Always a kind word, willing to help out people needing a hand and had an absolute wealth of knowledge on so many varied topics, not just fish species related, but his understanding in this area was amazing.
I thought you were bullet proof, Bill, rest in peace.

Re: Bill Proctor
I can only echo the setiments already expressed. Bill was a great supporter of many stocking groups, including our local Bundaberg group. He would always give advice, help wherever possible and if not able to assist personally - he would refer you to someone who could. He had an amazing wealth of knowledge and it was always a pleasure to speak with him, a true gentlemen who will be very sadly missed.
