    Got the weaving bug

After my first go last week I couldnt wait to have another go at weaving and slowly but surely I am improving. A mate of mine took this picture of my boat just outside south passage bar while on a fishing trip a while back and I thought it made a good scene to weave.

    Cheers

    Re: Got the weaving bug

    Great job Pete!
I like the way you worked the water there to give it a curve.
Very tight and straight all over.

If I could make one suggestion..
You would have been well served to do a single thread break around the engine to define it.
Either as a black thread, or no thread so the background broke it up.
    Cheers,
    Owen

    Owen,

Mate thanks for the advice (any advice from the master is good) I have just gotten hold of an origional MT96 9 wrap schnider glass blank (never been built on) from a mate and I intend to revise that same weave with your advice and also add a few clouds to the scene and have another go. With the experience and advice I hope it turns out even better than the one posted here.

    Cheers

    Re: Got the weaving bug

As a newby to the rod building scene,it is good to be able to look and read on this forum at peoples ideas, just shows us aussies think outside the circle a little bit better than our overseas counter parts.
Keep the good work going boys.(GREAT WORK THERE PEDRO)
