    dinner

With a few free hours, i hit the ramp at Manly about 10am, and headed out towards Harries. I was looking for some surface fun, and there did not seem to be much happening so i headed Nth. Found a few birds in the paddock, and decided a quick troll may be in order, just to see what was around. Had only gone a few tenths when i spied some surface slashes. Two casts and two fat spotties hit the deck. The fish were moving sth, so i lined up again, two more casts for two more fish. I lost/ snapped off another fish at the boat, but by then they had moved into a marine protected area (2 tenths inside) , and man it was hard not to have another throw, given there was no one else around, but rules is rules i guess !
So four fish in all for a few hours on the brine, back at Manly just after 13:00, Spotties for dinner.
    cheers
    Axl

Have not chased snaps in the bay for at least 12 months i reckon Lachie. Hard to find the time, did a few trips to the cape through winter for not much, other than to give the boat a good run.
Spottie fillets tasted great last night though, cooked in foil with bit of salt, pepper, lemon, garlic and parsley ....
