new rod

hey if anyone can give me some good advice.....i just came into posession of stella 10000
and need to match it to a two piece general allround rod...any info from experience would be appreciated.too many rods not enough money

Go a one piece if you can in that size.

Any two piece will be bulkier, until you go upmarket, you will bet better bang for buck with a one peice

not concerened about price just after agood rod,heard lots of good things about lots of good rods just need some advice on what to match to the stella,recently purchased a 602 samurai reaction after some advice but feel its a bit under strength for the stella runnin 80lb braid.

Running 80lb on a 602 is probably expecting a bit much out of the rod. In medium price bracket look at T-Curves, Terez, Monster Mesh and Saltist Demon Blood

What style of fishing do you plan on doing? Jigging, casting poppers/big lures, bottom bashing? This info will give others more idea of what to recommend.

mainly jiggin and bottom bashing,might sound weird but was after a good rod that is capable of bottom fishing and if i wanna cast apopper or 2 then so be it.after a light rod prefer 2 peice as travel overseas for work.was lookin at several diff ones like berkley venom range,daiwa combi jerk,wilson venom jig and popping rods,t-curve but have heard of a few people snappin em so any info on these rods would be great.

If a two-piece is a must, then you’re probably going to have to resort to a popping rod, since these appear to be the only design that are truly capable of handling 80lb braid. This means a longer, faster action rod which may give you a sore back if you intend on jigging all day. However, that all comes down to personal preference.

Another option would be to get a shorter one-piece jigging rod (5ft or less) that might be just as easy to travel with.
