1992 evinrude 60 tlene outboard.
Fuel is good and fresh and right ratio. Automatic mixer disconnected and premix fuel is supplied.
Fires on all 3 cyls perfectly.
Idles and runs fine.
New plugs (correct plugs for that motor)
Timing is spot on.
Idles at about 650rpm.
Very easy to start.
Compression is 95psi on all pots. (less that 2psi variation on two tests)
New thermostat and temp sender unit.
Disconnect sender unit for no changes.
Motor when tromped with rev hard till it hits 3200rpm then drop back within 2 secs to 2950 rpm and not budge from there. Bring the revs up slowly it reaches 2950 and sits there.
Get full activation of carbies with butterflies wide open.
Plugs remain oily but it fires fine, presumably from full fuel and open butterflies and not reaching WOT rev ranges.
Is it the power pack or have i possibly overlooked something?
Is there anything else I should check before ordering a new power pack?
Going to order a new pack tomorrow around noon if nobody speaks up with something else i should check first.
