I will be doing a bit of mackeral chasing & or anything that will take a bait in the Iluka /Woody area from the 28th till the 15th. If you are in the area and would like to M&G,, 0412 527 069 there is sure to be a coldie lurking somewhere!
hi rando. what boat do you have? i will be on the other side of town.. yamba! but ill be in iluka to visit my uncle a few times.. ill be chasing the macks aswell. now dont jynx us lol...
aaron.
Hells bells I'm keen! I've got a week off from the 1st until the 7th. I'll definitely be going camping either at Sandon River or stay a few nights at a mates at Woody head.
Do you still have my number Rando?
Hooknpull, are you bringing a boat down? I'd offer to take my tinnie for a run in the river but it only really fishes 2 comfortably. Maybe the weather might even play the game and we'll get some flat seas and clean water!
Dunno how we'll go on the mack front, they're noticable only with their absence right now. A few pro's I've been talking to have been very quiet with only odd rogue fish. Lets hope we can change that.
@ hook&pull,,, 4.5m tinny , Aaron, happy to go out off Woody/Angourie if the weather plays nice.
@mattooty,,,, Maaate, long time between drinks, definitely time for a catch-up.., got your number ,,, you know where to find me???
The girls were down at the van and came back wednesday ,they said the water turned really warm wed morning just before they left,,, I hope thats a good omen
Unfortunately Rando, I won't be down that way for some time, which is a shame.
The next time i'm going, i should PM you just in case you're going.
We might be able to drown a few pillies at Sedgers Reef so long as we don't get caught by the outgoing tide.
Hope you get onto something!! Apparently the southern tip of the Bluff where it meets Main Beach has been firing. There are a couple of nice bits of water there at low tide.
Thanks TOL.
Yes drowning a few at sedgers is always a good option, one must always take careful account of the tides when in that area.
I do sometimes fish that top corner of Main, but generally prefer the rocks to the beach, but nice to know it has been yielding a few. Not a bad spot for schoolies at the right time.
By all means PM me any time you are planning a trip.
Bit of a shame about the fare at Sedgers of late, it seems to have lost a lot since the original crew departed.
Shame to see the supermarket at riverside park close its doors too, we were good friends with Ann and her family
will be at Wooli from the 11th for 10 days, sold the little boat a few weeks back so will take up the bigger boat, been hearing of plenty of of big Mahi mahi been caught out at the FAD so interested in a run out there
