For the silly string fanatics, 5lb FC Rock

I normally use a 6lb leader for my estuary fishing. Last 3 sessions I have been using 4lb FC Rock for chasing bream mainly. I hooked up to a few good fish and lost them pretty instantly with the 4lb. I don't normally have to many issues with 6lb but the bream definitely respond more to using 4lb. I am wondering how people are finding 5lb FC rock as a happy medium?

little bit thinner then 6lb for more hits and a bit thicker then 4lb for some form of extra abrasion.

4lb is light but its not that light, i wouldnt have thought it would break instantly on bream. a lot of bass fishos are using 3lb and pulling up big ones at that. Its not a dud batch is it? where is the break occurring?
