    The floodgates open (Whiting on surface lures)

    I have finally managed to catch some whiting on surface lures at 1770, so far i have caught about 8 with about 6 being keepers, thanks guys for all your help. By the way the rig I was using was:Rod- Berkley Dropshot 2-4kg, Reel- some cheap jarvis walker reel, Line- 4lb Berkley fireline, Leader- 6lb monofilament and Lure- Berkley 3B Scumdog in the Hooch colour.

    Thats awesome mate, got my first whiting aswell today. (not on poppers though ill have to give it a try)

    I've started catching whiting on poppers lately, and find that's it's really addictive and quite a challenge. I've caught them on normal poppers, but now going to try Ecogear PX55's. Apparently they're the gun lures, so it will be interesting to see how it goes.
