DAvo, you've done it again mate. I managed to get to the back door for my morning ritual and seen the rain set in pretty heavy. I seriously thought you would of pulled the pin but I was wrong and clearly the egg is on my face LoL, think your right mate I was definitely a bit soft yesterday.

I did manage to clean out the vessel for my ginger beer home brew mix coming soon.
Also the smallest dog managed to get a hold of an old prawn star lure took me a little while to remove the treble from her front lip.

Great catch davo and don't forget still got them squidgies for you

I heard their voices calling me too, the wind was non existant here in Logan, I walked out to the boat to check things over and got wet as a shag only walking to the boat. It's a good place to have your spay jacket.... In the boat. That was enough for me. Yep, I'm too soft as well!! Well done Davo.

hahaha. well bingo, you now know my strategy for not being whooped by your mates.

mossy - mate i was starting to worry about ya. never known ya to be away from your pc so long. oh, and when fishing for dogs, i recommend 1/8oz jighead with 130mm squidgie pro wriggler and an erratic retrieve. i do hope you practised catch and release. if not, am led to believe from sbs that a slow bake is best.

scalem - the number of boats out yesterday was a fair indication that many stayed home for a shag instead. was good that the fish weren't too concerned about getting wet.......

Different kinda shag that you are talking about, didn't get one of those You read the conditions right, I knew there would not be too many out there, which generally means the snapps feed more freely. How come you only got one???They should have been lining up to take any offer

hey scalem, bad luck on the shag mate. one of the 2 small fish caught was probably legal but looked too small after boxing a good one. 1 good fish is a feed for my fam for 2 days so i don't generally keep smaller fish once i have a good one. i hate filletting too which is why i would make a miserable whiting fisho. there was about a half dozen boats moving around within a couple hundred metres by 5.45 and the weather helped me to decide to go home instead of looking further afield. also, as previously mentioned, once an over 70 is in the box a lot of the incentive is removed.
    cheers
