    Re: Tru Turn Hooks

I use them in #4 for whiting and they are excellent.
There is also another type i noticed in the ######## catalogue that has a baitholder which would be better for the old blood worm to stop it bunching in the bend.
I will never return back to the old long shank kirby or carlisle styles for whiting again.

    Re: Tru Turn Hooks

I have tried true turn lots of times and I agree they do work, however, I have never noticed a better hook up rate or any other reason to pay any extra for them (I have tried bigger sizes for Snapper also) but if they were available in the size I wanted when I was "shopping" for no more cost, then I might buy them again.

Ouch0025.jpgI like to use a No.4 for whiting. Gold in colour (see picture) because they are finer wire and sharper than the red ones.

It did "tickle" a bit. It wanted to come out under the nail. Resulted in a trip to A and E.
