What Waterproof Digital Camera to buy?

I tried the canon, olympus and panasonic. Canon best, followed by panasonic, followed along way behind by olympus. Not tried the nikon, but I think you would be hard pressed to make to many complaints about it. If you are a photo tragic like me, steer clear of the olympus stuff.

brother in law owns a camera shop and he chose the ft3 for me and I am really happy with it has everything you'll need in a camera......just a tip turn off the GPS if you don't need it as it runs the battery low if its always on........and a flat battery isn't cool when you are snorkling in the cook islands

Panasonic Lumix FT3
I have a FT1 and looking to upgrade and the FT3 looks the goods. The gps tagging will be great to mark where you caught the fish in your photos.

I bought the Panasonic FT3 for our Fiji holiday and it was just great. It was worth every cent , the 1080p quality filming underwater was unbelivable. I highly recommend to buy this one. Look into the memory cards as they are very different, try to get a 32 g card that is rated to 6 speed at least but prefferably 10 speed. Lexar is a good brand.

Just a liile postscript to this one
Was following this chat as I was looking for a new one at the time
Took some advice from this forum and picked up the Lumix FT3 ( online)
Took it out late yesterday in some appalling weather and it accounted for itself very nicely , and got good and wet in the process of knocking over some playful bass.
I've enlarged a detail of one shot to show what its got in some ordinary light and with a wet lens
