    Mortality rates of released fishes

I was bored at work, so one of my random internet surf sessions led me to look up what the mortality rate of released fishes is. Came across this link that has quite a few good articles if, like me, you have some time to burn and the subject matter is of interest either way to you. Thought somebody else might be interested so

That's very interesting, thanks for posting. I read the gut-hooked whiting study and I'd always been told it was better to not remove the hook on a hook-gutted fish and this seems to confirm the practice is a good idea.
