    Spanner Crabs at 1770?

I am looking at doing some more fishing down towards 1770 way and have heard that you can catch spanner crabs in the area. Does anyone have any info they could share as to how, when and where to catch them if they are there. I have never tried fishing for spanner crabs so I am a complete newbie to the whole thing but would love to give it a go.
    Thanks

The Spanner crabs are in closed season until the 20th December so cant do anything until then, as to where up there cant help you, Spanner crabs you will find on sand, Depth can vary, we mostly do it in 30-50m of water.

How, you need Spanner Trays to catch them, Have a look at Crab N Gear Website to see them, once you have them and find where its as easy as dropping them down, leaving them for an hour or so then stretch your arms pulling them up. Lots of fun but you can hurt for days afterwards.

    Hope this helps a little.

    Cheers Lee
