Garmin has upgraded its sounder colors to come in line with the more popular sounder brands , it is from the gpsmap4008 and upwards and only intails a free software upgrade .

few more colors way better than just the 2 we had to choose from before , there is even a few outragous ones some i didnt show too much

hopefully we will see new colors in the 750s and down in next software update

one more for the garmin followers you can now control the gain in the split frequency individually this is from the 451s all the way through the range .

Theres some good images there mate.The best part is the fact that the software upgrades are free.
Depending on price of coarse this should start to give the rest of the major brands a run for there money.
Keeping in mind that it needs to be in a price bracket for most trailer boat guys that bottom fish or troll for pelagics.
I do understand that these days people do spend big dollars on electronics.
When you think back to the paper sounders to where we have come now its mind blowing isnt it.
Garmin are certainly a force to be reckon with and are advancing quickly.I IMG_0226.jpglove my new 7012 and wonder how i did it without it.You can tell how they have made there colours available the same as Furuno in the second lot of images.

hey whiteman not yet for 750 color pallette but soon hopefully all upgrades are on the garmin website under support - marine upgrades

thats the one just make sure you save first to desktop then run winzip file, open file and a file manager will give you directions from there .

please note if you download directly to s.d card from website you are only putting the winzip file on your sd card and unit cannot read a winzip file .

Updated the sounder a few days ago. Can't see anything new but have yet to take it offshore.

Also noticed that Homeport is now available for Mac users, was a bit of hassle using a PC for a while, but will still need to update the 750s through a PC.

It looks pretty good but I think the promotion of a product from blokes that pick it up for nothing is unnecessary..... Just my humble opinion.

well i updated the 750s with that new update and i dont think those new colour palattes are part of the changes as yet
