    Curtin 29/11/11

Cruised across to curtin artificial for an early morning fish yesterday! arrived at moreton about 4:30am to find NOBODY else over there (man I love fishing weekdays)

conditions were good as we headed over but became fantastic so hopes were high!

we set up the first drift but the easterly picked up and kept blowing us off our prefered drift line! (even with the sea anchor out!) my brother in law managed a just legal squire on a drifted pillie and I landed a just under on his plastic outfit while he handled his fish!

the only other fish landed for the day was a tiny grinner!! there was some fantastic shows on the sounder around curtin but nothing biting! also had a look at the M5 beacon on the way home and there was heaps of bait(small) and a school of 30cm kingies smashing them.

Stopped at scarborough reef (we were the only ones there too!) for zip...not even a bream!!

cant wait for the southerly change...these north easterlys are cramping my style...

Did you try any livies at Curtain?? Usually some nice kingies and Cobia there this time of year.

Always nice to get a mid week fish, if only the Fish were biting, ah well next time.

    Cheers Lee

keep meaning to have a go with livies, but usually the snapper provide plenty of fun....maybe its time to change it up...ive never caught a cobia!! THAT would be fun!
