    and theres the hat trick

well, there you have it. thats 3 straight donuts. got up bright and early at 1.30am (dont want to be late for donuts), got to mud about 3.30. got a few throwbacks this time which kept it a little more interesting. also got spoooooled on a live squid. felt like a big ray (thats what i'm hoping anyway). luckily the knot on the spool was stronger than that on the leader or i would have been down a couple hundred metres of 20lb bionic braid. picked up only 2 legal sandies at mud and my 2 crappy pots i left wide off green overnight were fruitless, 1 with only a small hairyback and the other about 6 jennies. caught a mantis prawn or killer prawn in 1 pot and towed him around for a couple hours and when he got taken i didn't even know about it. nice clean cut in the leader, probably a shark. to cap it all off about 10.30 the wind came in at 10-15 from the se. got drenched on the home straight. having a bugger of a time catching a northerly home lately. anyway, thats another donut closer to a fish. also, lot of mud in the water from the dam dump. pic is the demarc line. ran all the way from mud down to southern end of green. Nice report davo, shows you it happens to the best of them. I would put it down to water quality we managed to find some clearer water yesterday that was the only sign of fish about. Tight lines - MoSsY

Commiserations on the continuing drought mate but kudos to you for continuing to post a report. There seems to be a distinct decline in the number of reports be they good, bad or ugly and that is a sad thing. I joined this forum for that specific reason.

I am making a promise to lead by your example and post my reports once I get home no matter how they turn out. (My reports from here in Utah are probably no good to anyone but...) Helps everyone out I say.

Keep up the good and not so good work ol mate!

Nice mate. I would rather read a no fish report than no report. Things sure are quiet at the moment. What is that purple stuff in the water? haha kidding.

At least you got to spend the morning out, see the sunrise and get a bit of salty air in to you. Thanks mate for the ongoing reports

hey mate. sorry bout the hattrick. the water is quite dirty from the dam release isnt it. looks very green in the photo. might be the reason why.

thanks dick, your welcome to em. thats only 1 location. i'm now operating a mobile donut stall. gotta say it's not helping with weight loss. donuts are a lot more fattening than snapper. i would think south is a good idea. seeing as i was there b4 daylight i didn't see the dirty water line till i left. reckon i would have fished wider out if i had spotted it earlier.
mossy - you owe me $25
