Amity gives you a few options, duck offshore, or just play around in the bay, rainbows a great place to fish if you no what to look for ???
Give you boat options, camping or take the 4 x 4 across.
The place is pretty accessible is all types of weather.
The one miles is another option, but does give you the options like amity.

Depending on dates etc, should be an interesting trip I would say. I got a significant birthday coming up around the proposed time so looking to let the bourbon monster out of the cage. hopefully its closer to march than january. Either way taking the tinny across or if the weathers sh!thouse I'll throw the dual cab luxy on the barge and get dirty on the island.

What dates suit everyone. Perhaps throw a few around and we can set up a poll to get a consensus.

Re: Stradbroke Island Meet and Greet

Do we want to make it just a camping weekend??

Maybe camp and beach fish with a little bit of exploring in the fourbys??

Shouldn't really matter too much about what the weather is doing then.

    Thoughts on this please.

    Cheers

I am cool with that Paul. I have a tinny I will take which we can surf launch and troll for spaniards which most do in small tinnies on the island. I will add to this later I am at work and need to get something done

If its just camping then I would prefer down the beach so we can have a cleansing ale or two and still wet a line. If not Amity or one mile gives us plenty of options. All camping sites are pretty well booked out for the holidays
