Does that mean your going drive yours over instead of catching the barge

lucas, if the weathers crap i would barge it with the 4x4. no point taking tinny in crap weather. nice weather wouldn't need the 4x4 and motor there. either way i'm in. too much fun to miss.

I think Amity or One Mile might suit more people. I'm up for either

From the Amity caravan park to the Amity Community Centre is about 200meters.
400 if taking the stagger, stagger, crawl, crawl option.
    Bar, bistro, TAB, bottle shop.

Main beach camping would be more of a smelly fishermans weekend.
    I don't smell, do I?

Everything on Straddie is governed by the tides.(sound familiar Tim?)
If you have a 4wd and want to spend some time on the beach.
A weekend day trip to Straddie.
A low tide around midday to 2pm.
    Breakfast at Pt Lookout.
    A walk around the gorge.
Enough time to get down to the Pin for a BBQ lunch and back up for the barge or whatever.
Have a play on some sand tracks on the way.
Maybe Amity for the best prawns on the planet.

For the next 6 months the barge will be at least $130 return plus $30 12 month beach permit for those who don't have one.

Frankly, there are no saturday or sunday 4wd DAY trips worth doing for the rest of the year.
Midweek? Yep, could be up for 1 of those.

2 day or 3 day weekend.
2 days with low around the middle of the day. Time to drive on the beach.
Terrorize the kite flyers on Flinders.
    Get bogged getting off Main.
    Get bogged on Main.
Tell everyone how you would handle the Pin bar.
Get bogged having a look at the campsites on Main.
High tide at dawn and dusk. I have caught tailor on Flinders on boxing day.

    Closest weekend tide dates.

January 21 and 22. Full moon 23. School Holidays?

    February 4 and 5. New moon 8th.

    February 18 and 19. Full moon 22nd.

    You lucky bugger.

Here I am mowing your lawn. Not.

    The other seafood seller?
A bit of wife or husband trouble.

This time of year is Mac or tuna of the rocks.
    Or meter plus flattie.
You never know whats under them there rocks or in the Rainbow.
