Did I miss it - mate says cutting fins is passe

I haven't been able to get on lately as the PC I have been using is real slow to download but I got a text message from my mate yesterday to say that cutting fins off coral fin fish is no longer required and legislation was passed through parliament accordingly. Like I said, I may have missed the post and if so apologise and maybe some one can point me in the right direction. I am home now but I can only get mobile internet here and it is slower than me at the moment so searching is very painful. Where the hell is that promised optic fibre, they can't even upgrade the existing exchange so I can have ADSL at the very leat - oops, that is another thread.

Thanks Stuie, this brings up another thought, is there an automatic update on Fisheries rules and regs like the one I get for Marine changes to bouys, channels etc as it seems that we rely on hearing it in the news first or through other channels like Ausfish (great job there). I am a little dumb technologically and maybe I need to get better at it but I know a few of my mates who aren't Tech dumb and they have asked the same question.
