soft plastics at night down the gold coast
hey guys do SP's work at night? and also if i was to go down the coast landbased where would be some spots i could pick up a few. species doesnt concern me as i fish for fun. im currently using a 1-3kg berkley dropshot with 6lb fireline and 4lb leader. all advice is welcomed as im fishing as much i can landbased as i will get my kayak at christmas time and want to see the big difference that having a water vessel actually makes.
cheers grant H

Yes mate they do, I find that the brighter colours are good in the gulps and plastics with alot of vibration like berkley powerbait ripple shads.

i have found they do but do they work the same, im not sure but in my opinion i think colour doesnt really matter at night. using plastics or hardbodies with reflection, vibrations and glow would be my tip.

First thing I heard about lure fishing at night was to use black, and use them slowly..
The fish can identify the outline (can't spell sillouette) against the lighter sky. This was back in the day of hardbodies. (remember them?)
I never had a black one, so I covered the underside of a bright one with black insulation tape.
Ths first time I tried it, I was landbased at a very popular spot that had only ever produced bream for me, and I got comprehensively destroyed by something big and powerful. (BIG cod, I reckon).
And so I got comprehensively hooked on night fishing with dark lures for a long time.
Did alright too. Might be the same for SPs ??
Cheers
