Was up there a couple of weeks ago . Camped at the cape for a week. was a great run all the way up the island. Plenty of beach at hook pt 2-3 hrs either side of low. Indian was the usual bit of soft stuff but still ok. Ngkala was good with the only soft sand just after getting through the cutting on the slight rise heading north but as good as its been for a few years.
A great run up to the cape from there. Could also get around Yidney and poyungan rocks halfway through tide. Hope this helps.
