A fellow in Yamba does awesome work - and he also makes sensational pizza! He's got some of his work in his restaurant - brilliant stuff. The flathead he's got there has to be sen to be believed. He also will arrange pickup from brissie (at least he was doing that 4 or so years ago when I chatted to him). On doing a google, I found his name - Ron Gardener.

Definiately look him up and have a chat to him - you wont be disapointed.

    Ron Gardener is great.

He is the old school type, He does a very good job , can be a bit pricey but relatively cheap compared to others.

I caught a large black cod many years ago East, South East off Southport. The cod had brown and white colouration throughout its' skin.

The fish was kept froxen whole. Ron collected it, and about a week or two it was ready to collect. Also, you get to keep your fish flesh intact and still fresh in one piece.

Ron used every piece of the fish for the job, head, eyes, outside skin, spines and tail. Bloody good job , well recommended.

That's only my opinion on the bloke.

I'll hunt around to see if I have any photos left as I've moved premises twice since that job was done and no longer kept the taxidermied fish.

    Cheers, Bondy

He's one of the top taxidermists in Oz. A mate used to be his protege and some of the work he's got floating around his house is mind blowing. Barra, 8, 9 10, of the buggers, all over 120cm.
Cod, crays, tuna, macks, bream, jacks! It's just phenomenal.
