Spewing!! GPSMAP 450s Screen Issue

Hello all,
I wonder if any of yous had come across this problem with the Garmin GPSMAP 450s. It turns on but all I could see is the initial Garmin screen and then nothing looks like it switches itself off straight away?
I planned a fishing trip for today and tested everything last night and it was all good to go. So, I switched everything off isolated the batteries and prayed to the gods the winds won't pick up today.
Got out on the water and blast it!! The bloody thing won't boot up! And to top the afternoon off, the gods din't hear my prayers...so we had to come back after only 2hrs instead of 6hrs of fishing...

hey mate ,
you can download software upgrade on garmin website

on the water
chartplotter
find 451 chartplotter
right hand side will have software (follow download instructions make sure you save before running wizard will guide you to sd card copy)

put sd card into gps450 holding power button and up arrow ( this will direct unit to sd card slot )
unit will display holding ( can take 5 minutes to run )

problem should be solved and latest software installed

I did what you told me to do and BOOM!!! Not only did my unit booted up, the land map now has detailed features too!!
