ok drop into gem at about 3pm and picked up my order of blood worms, and them made my way to the ramp.
we went to south straddie and pick up some yabbies as well.
we started fishing but a bit quite, the tide was still on its way out and the water quality was still brown.
so just before the tide change we moved to some deaper water, where i caught some herring.
i through him out on my big rod that had 30lb braid with 40lb fluorocarbon unweighted.
1/2 hour later the live bait rig went off ,it had a big run then stopped dead and i could not shift it then it had a bigger run.
not having to much drag on i put a little more pressure on it, then pop went the leader it rub straight through 40lb leader no worrys at all.
i think it was a bull shark not the jew i was after.
after that excitement we moved again and found some whitting, we finished up with 14
intotal
