    Restoring Vintage Jarvis Walker rods.

    Hello.

I picked up a few old Jarvis Walker rods.circa late 60's and early 70's.One is very nice-no verdigris.or issues-its a 'San Remo' lovely light and whippy-ideal for Sand Whiting and similar.

The others are goodish-the deacl is very good and so is cork etc.It more a boat rod.Called a "The Mudgee Deluxe", The runners/guides are broken and sad,I need some
'3 piece guides' -black and white in the silver ring-how or where can I get some??

Also another came in the bundle-called a "Portsea" really good decal-late 60's,but guides/runners are sad so it needs some too.

I am also looking for some "wire " runners/guides that J.W use to put on their rods to match the others.

Any help or pointers would be great!

I'll post some images of these old rods,Although I'm not sure anyone is really interested in old rods any more.

    Cheers Darter

Have a few old wire guides here, when you post pix, I will check them out. SOmebody from here sent me these a few years back. Maybe put a wanted ad in the classifieds as I can't remember who it was, we are all getting old hey,
I have an older JW Bribie light surf I found at a house I rented a few years back. has accounted for several dart and a few whiting on Fraser in the last 18months.
the original aussie made ones were great rods. This one will cast #6 balls quite easily.

I also have a good mate(yep I got friends too) who has been building repairing rods for years, he may have some old wire guides, I will ask for you when I chat to him next

    Hi folks.

Here are a few images. The first couple is the J.W "San Remo" in good nick,no issues.

A few of the type of guides I need, looking for a largish 'wire' guide the same as pictured.
I have a J.W "Swansea" that is missing this one.The Black and white with metal is what I
need for "The Mudgee Delux" not pictured.

A few general images. The black rod is a J.W "Shoalhaven" crica 1980's,had some repairs
    nice boat rod.

    Thanks for looking and help.

    Cheers Chris
