Hard work getting a feed in the Pine today!
Was a great tide for chasing bream in the Pine today so I hit the water at about 5.00 a.m. and headed for the freeway bridges. The bream were nowhere near as good as I expected them to be and it took every trick in the book to find a few by the time the big tide turned at the top. Ended up with 18 keepers (and released another 4, plus a big catfish) but I had long periods where I could not give a bait away. Best went 34cm and there were a couple of others in the 30+ range. Was a nice cool morning with the overcast sky and only a few other boats out.

Don't talk to me about hard, I just spent 4 hours standing in the surf for half a dozen throw back dart - now that's hard. Except for getting away from work, watching of the sun come up and cleaning up by having a surf with the kids of course.
....
Still a nice feed Freeedom, did you get any livies?

No Dave. I went straight for the bream using frozen bait. I'd had a look on Tuesday when I got a few bream and also drowned some livies for a while. Caught a couple of small estuary cod (40, 43cm) and lost a couple more in the sunken barge. No prawns showing up yet!
