Fished the outgoing tide using live bait, kept three flathead, one at 68cms, one at 64cm and one at 58cm. When I cleaned the 68 cm there was a 22cm bream inside the stomach cavity. Makes you wonder what size bait to use, when chasing the larger lizards. A few sandcrabs around but all undersize.
The amount of people that still fish in the proctected zone of Hay's inlet and Woody Point is unbelievable. I wonder when these people will no longer have their own private fishing areas.
Bring in license fees and use the money to protect these areas.
I was winding in a small bream i caught up donnybrook way a year or so ago fishing 2 foot of water next minute a see this massive bow wave after the bream i stood up and seen the biggest flathead i have ever seen would nearly of been a metre long swerved at the last minute near the boat
