Rous and the weed

Tried chasing the whiting over at the rous on sat. What a rotten day.
Shitty easterly, and weed everywhere.

As soon as line hit the water, hook was full of weed.

Bit swelly coming home as well, back to manly.

The whitting are not at the rous. I caught 50 at around 28cm closer to redcliff.
They were not thick but big.

I think it depends on where you try at the rous. I tried offshore early but couldn't get any livies (in very ordinary conditions) so came back in before the tide went out to far to put plan B into action which involved targetting whiting. After a couple of hours came away with just under 50 with some really good quality. It was hard work though and we had to move around a fair bit.
