I always thought that cats were built for a reason..for people that cannot handle driving a mono hull..like training wheels on a bike.

(I'll just sit back and have a drink and wait for the bites)

Would look even better with a more sympathetic/better looking hardtop. That one looks like an afterthought tacked on at the last minute.
    Nice rig.

Id like to know the weight in comparison to a 2700 NC. That smick ally trailer would look good under mine and might do away with the need for a tri axle.....

175k..bloody hell..no thanks at that price.

I often wonder..trailer boats are getting longer but the beam stays under the legal limit..something has to give sooner or later...the longer the boat gets the beam should increase also in accordance with the length. Being of limited intellectual ability in boat design it just does not seem relevant to me to keep getting 'em longer but maintaining the beam in the trailerable limits. Surely length + beam is a factor in maintaining stability both under way and at rest..unless you are desiging an offshore racing hull.

I should add..this would apply to both monos and cat hulls.

    Pinhead,

It all comes down to prefrence, some like a wide one and others a long one. I wondewr if he will call it Cat Gutz. My mate use to say "if you have a cat you have one boat to many".

    Hi Deckie,
Im with you, that hardtop looks ordinary and practically has no function. It doesnt provide much shade and wont stop the greenies coming through.....In saying that, I wouldnt say no if someone offered me one!!!
Be keen to know what they ride like....

Surprised to see it with only a dual axle? A 8100, assuming that means 8.1m in fibreglass would be seriously heavy. mines on a triaxle, is 8.4, but is alloy, so a bit less weight. I agree about the hardtop. That would be a waste of time in a heavy sea.
