Tailor at welly high sat before storm n mackys harries

Shot out of welly for a quick flick hoping weather got it wrong with 20 nott northerlys as it was calm as but as it turned out they were damb right but as we left leads we were onto 4 tailor and a good size school right side of leads so fastest fish caught in the boat to date. Shot out to harries to chase the mack tuna and as we got closer the wind was doubling every mile and got there to 1 plus swell but kept going and chasing birds. There were birds and mackys all over the harries area to mouth of rouse leads but they wouldnt take slugs or plastics as we saw the bait and 3 inch was easy to match but no takers. Met by water police in huge boat with 3 / 225 on back and off home to fillet tailor and got home and shot out to my jack hole land based as storm helps but low tide didnt help and no livies and got to a mates house as storm broke (on the water) and got the best storm photos but cant upload. Anyway good day out but a wet one. All my good rods copped salt on boat then fresh in ute on storm.DD.....

Geez you are keen DD, I wouldn't like to be out there with the lightening that was around.

Those Tuna around Harries are bloody frustrating, I spent a couple hours on them last week, and they did my head in!

    Good work on the tailor.

Thanks Matt - we got out before the storm and then it picked up but was back well before the lightning but the only thing that does make me pull the pin is lightning in a tinny. Wind, rain even huge ship swell doesnt faze me but lightning is a bit much even for me. We ended up fishing 3 times last weekend, twice in boat and land based jacks (no jacks tide to low)
