Summer has arrived, so have the Mangrove Jacks!

Been fishing pretty hard the last few weeks with bass, jew and jacks been accounting for many sleepless nights.

The jacks have always been a favorite and this year planning on putting in a big effort to suss them out out fully. So far have had 4 sessions. 7 jacks landed and 3 big bust offs I wont forget for a while.

All fish so far have been caught on Zman 4inch SwimmerZ paired with a 5/0 1/4 TT jighead. Also been super gluing the plastic onto the jighead which is what all the bream blokes have been doing to the smaller plastics, it works a treat. The lure just keeps coming back for more and more!

    Anyways here are some pics!

    First jack - 51cm

    38cm

Another 51cm jack on the second jack session

Solo sesh on Thursday nights storm, got quite wet! 52cm

And two more that session going 35 and 42 from memory that the pics turned out shocking as being it was raining and I was solo.

fish_gutz...he means glueing the placcy to the jig head, so it dont come off as easy after hits from fish

Re: Summer has arrived, so have the Mangrove Jacks!

Yup, Mick has it right. They hold onto the jigheads ok, but not as good as a conventional plastic because of the 'stretchiness' of the material it likes to 'bounce' back to the original shape so if a fish hits the tail of the plastic it tends to pull the plastic of the jighead keeper and after quite a few cast's it also happens. So if you had the smallest amount of super glue onto the jighead keeper it eliminates all this and now you have a plastic that will last fish after fish after fish.
