    Nerang River trevally

I'm just starting to explore the Nerang after getting a little tinny.
I saw a recent post about catching trevally in the Nerang
Is trolling lures the go with the trev's?
Someone said they hang out near the bridges.
Is there a particular tide or time of day?
Where should I start to look and what lures work best.
    Hope you can help

night time and poppers mate... find them by looking where eddies form and you see them busting the surface.. other wise try live herring.. either cast with no weight or under a little float. easiest way to find them mate is to go out and find em at spots you think they may be... google earth is your friend mate.
dont knock on deaths door... ring the doorbell and run... death hates that!!

From where i work we have a camera on the roof that does the the whole 360 pan, night vision, 500 to 1 lenses blar blar blar,
anyway one night i was panning around the water ways, as you do and just south of the west chevron bridge in the corner of the river where the rowing club is, was exactly what nath is talking about. thev had the bait fish herded into the mouth of the little creek and they were going nuts. i watched them for about 30 min bustin up . I cant remember what the tide was doing but it was a calm night, the water was like glass.
As far as bridges go, southport bridge is probable a bit wide to get them to school up tight. Any of the others like Bundall rd bridge is well know for trevs and jacks., ive even got them as far up as the Ross street bridge, not huge but legal.
The one below was caught in the middle of the day in the channel north of wave break isl on bream gear and a yabby
