    Re: yak sesh

5km out offshore past julian rocks, Byron. Obviously the length was estimated as i didn't have a tape measure on me, but he made my 12ft yak seem very small and he was a lot bigger than the tiger who was also bigger than my kayak. Also had a marlin come up for my livie right in front of my kayak. Already had a full bag so did not want to be towed around for 2 hours. Haven't been back since, it's just too dangerous and too far to paddle. The helicopter pilots fly over some massive sharks in nnsw.

I gathered it was an estimate, as Looking in the water at a shark compared to it out of the water is a big difference. I think if you seen a Shark no matter what sort it was of 4m or 5m in length you would have a heart attack especially if in a yak. A 3.5m tiger was caught the other day and went 500kg and 2.5 in girth, imagine that thing bumping your yak, you would never go in one again!
