    Goldy camping

    Hi all,

Can you recomend me a family friendly camping (tent and camper) park on the topside of the Goldy? Wanting to do the theme parks and spend some time at the beach with the kids.

    Cheers Brad.

People I know both from Aus and abroad like to stay at the TREASURE ISLAND park. Its on the Gold Coast Highway within walking distance to Harbour Town for shopping and (more importantly) BCF.

There's also ATMs, Coles and a Bottlo just across the road.

I stayed there a night myself once, visiting friends who were there and it was nice & comfy and very welcoming. They have stuff for kids to do and bouncy things etc and a bit of a creek to have a cast into.

Another park that some friends of ours from NSW like is Ashmore Palms Holiday Village (see link):

They are both nice places but if it were my choice, I'd stay at Treasure Island because of the location. The Ashmore Palms one is a bit more secluded.

yep, treasure island. Been there a few times. Ask for a site up the back of the park if you can, if your down the front you can get a bit of traffic noise...no issues 1/2 way up and beyond

Actually yeah, I forgot about that Gold Coast Tourist Park option. My brother and his family have stayed there a few times ex-Bris and I've made a few visits there.

He reckons its great as its right on the water and he usually has a tinnie in tow. Not three bad..!

yep that one is probable the most central one on the north end of the coast. Having its own ramp is a big plus...
