    Lowrance globalmap 9200c to Lowrance hds 10

    just after some know how, i currently have a lowrance globalmap 9200c with navionics and sd card for marks, just want to now does the new lowrance hds10 read same navioncs and format as the old units, i just want to be able to load my marks to a new unit without reformatting as the marks are never the same exactly. ??????????????

    Yep, you can use your current navionincs card in the new HDS. And yes, if you save your waypoints onto a blank SD card from the 9200, you will be able to put that SD card into the HDS and upload them without any dramas.

    I went from an Eagle Seacharter 500cdf to the HDS5 and transferred my waypoints etc without any issues. They are all Lowrance products and their files are in .usr format.

    hey skipalong, it may pay to write down all your x spots first mate. i trancefered mine over but some how lost a few of my icons, fish n weed patches etc i had put on there, the old gps had shit it self so i couldnt retrieve them.
