    They came out great!
Are you using mono under your dragon scales?
    Very pronounced.

    Thanks Owen & Trout Head
Owen what I have been doing is using D thread under the scales and give it a coat of CP before I wrap it .
Seems to give it a lot more definition and dosen't flatten out under the pressure of wrapping over the D thread
Mono also sounds worth a try.... didnt think of that one

Ok did a search for no luck. Where can I get a hold of this stuff? Any tips would be good too. Didn't quite follow the whole process mentioned above.

Top shelf works Willo. You have those Dragon scales down perfect now and the top wrap really adds to the whole effect. Nice work.

Yeh Mate ,....CP is short for.. Colour Preserver..
Which can be applied to Nylon thread to stop it going transparent and help keep its colour
I applied it to the set out thread wrap on the Dargon scale to stiffen it up so it would help define the scale a bit better

    Re: Some New builds

You can also use mono fishing line to get the effect of the scales.

    Re: Some New builds

I think I will be giving that a go soon, but I have one question:

What do you apply over the finished wrap to prevent bubbles coming through in the high build? I imagine there are a lot of air pockets under there just waiting to release itself into my high build! lol

    Cheers,
    Ben

    Yeh Ben
Bubbles have not been a problem really, I flame the finish after each coat as well that thins it out a bit and helps get rid of the miro bubbles, after the first coat on the odd occasion might get a couple of little bubbles after drying, but trim the bubble crator with a razor blade
and apply another two coats ,and alls good ...LOL
    Cheers Willo
