ID:	72237 Hi all it's been a while since I have have put up a post on here so I thought I would make the effort to put up a few pics of some of the better fish I have encountered in the bay over the last few months, The GT is my main reason for posting though as I thought It is a rather exeptional capture for the bay, as you can see from close inspection of some of the photos it was caught well inside moreton island and to my knowlede this could well be one of if not the biggest GT caught inside the bay. It was a great way to break in my new weapon the new GFX x-tream 20-40lb by gary howard and if it wasn't for the fact I was using one of the new extra heavy gauge "THE FUZZ" jigheads by impact tackle I doubt very much I would have won the battle. I was only fishing 30lb braid and 30lb leader but being hooked up to a fish that size on even 30lb for almost a hour is enough to straighten even the toughest jigheads

Thanks mate! yes it was a huge suprise! we searched the whole bay for longtails after reports they had been about...after a long morning of no findings we decided it was time to look else where...a good mate gave me a mark in the middle of no where ...lol (the bay ) snapper was the target for this spot at the time and considering the conditions I thought this was a good time to be in with half a chance of a nice fish in this spot...
After a long time drifting the spot and many casts later the last thing I was expecting was a solid hookup! ....Snapper was the first thing that came to mind! ....head shakes! ...Big ones! ...then came the runs
